If you’re reading this article, it’s probably because you’re stressed (or very motivated!) about your exam scores. Some students approach the end-of-year exams with such anxiety that it can become difficult for them to concentrate and work in the right direction. Are you one of them and would you like some advice on how to get good grades in your classes and pocket your diploma?

Kotplanet gives you 3 tips to pass your exam with flying colors!

1/ Establish a work schedule to get organized

This is the key to getting good grades! Establishing a work schedule, indicating the ranges for proofreading, drawing up sheets, and revisions, is the guarantee of a year full of success. To create an effective work schedule, we advise you to plan your day starting with “the least funny” ( so funny there is in studies!). By attacking directly with the most complex tasks, you will quickly be rid of them and can relax once the objectives have been accomplished.

Indeed, the most tedious tasks require much more concentration than routine tasks, such as proofreading files that you already master. Once you’ve reached your goals, don’t forget to give yourself breaks. The human brain needs to disconnect regularly to demonstrate optimal efficiency!

2/ Set steps to get a good grade

You might think that this tip goes to point number 1, but it’s not quite that. Some tasks may seem insurmountable and very often lead to disappointment. For what ? Because students often tend to want everything too quickly. If you have always had great difficulty in mathematics and you are struggling to get the average, it is useless to aim for an average of 15 from the start.

What matters is the room for improvement. By setting yourself stages or levels, you will be able to improve your grades. If you regularly work on your weak points and dare to ask for help, you will manage to improve your results. To do this, set yourself milestones.

This avoids becoming discouraged by the amount of work required to achieve your goal. You can decide to improve your level in accounting over a term, and your level in sociology over the second semester. There is no small victory! A good mark is better than two averages…

3/ Manage your failures

There’s nothing worse than having a bitter failure when you’ve worked hard to succeed. However, perspective is one of the keys to success . If you failed an exam, there must be a reason. Is it because of your stress? Bad organization?

Long hours of alienating revisions that never gave way to breaks? No need to dwell on your failure and feel guilty for hours on end. Instead, focus your energy on finding effective solutions.

Many students are desperate in the face of failure and remain prostrate, only to find a scapegoat. On the contrary, those who succeed are those who keep a cool head and who look for areas of improvement right after. Think about it if you feel helpless after a failure!
